Problem
A home-staging company was running a real, growing business on paper and spreadsheets. Contracts were printed, signed by hand, scanned, and emailed, then re-typed into a spreadsheet that only one person understood. Handwritten intake forms piled up. Nobody could answer a simple question like "how much did we book last month?" without an afternoon of reconciling.
They didn't need an app store full of SaaS tools stitched together. They needed one system that matched how the business actually ran, built by someone who learned that business before writing a line of code.
What I built
- AI handwriting OCR intake. Photographed handwritten intake forms are read by a vision model and turned into structured client records, automatically.
- Contracts & e-signatures. Quotes become contracts in-app; clients sign on their phone. No printing, no scanning, no chasing.
- Live revenue dashboard. Bookings, deposits, and outstanding balances roll up in real time, so the owner can see the month at a glance instead of rebuilding it by hand.
- Operations backbone. Jobs, inventory, scheduling, and client history live in one system that mirrors the real workflow.
Stack
Built and shipped solo, end to end, from data model to deployment, using Claude Code to move faster without handing off judgment on the parts that mattered.
Outcome
The business moved off paper and spreadsheets onto a single platform that one owner can run without a technical team behind them. Intake that used to be re-typed by hand is now structured automatically; contracts are signed the same day they're sent; and the month's numbers are always current.
